Does Affirm Treatment Hurt?
A Topical anaesthetic is applied to the target areas before treatment. The Affirm machine blows cold air on the treated area during the treatment to minimise discomfort. After the treatment you may feel a little "sunburnt" but this feeling disappears after a couple of hours.
Are there any side effects if I have a Affirm Treatment?
There will be some short-term visible redness and swelling in the treated areas, mild itching, dry skin or flakiness may also occur. It is best to avoid strong sunlight during the period of treatment and use a SPF30 sun cream if you expect to be out in the sun. We will advise you on the best after care for the Affirm treatments.
